Mrs. Brunner's Kindergarten Classroom
Welcome to Kindergarten!

A little bit about me . . .
This is my ninth year teaching at Lakeview.  I started at Lakeview in a second grade classroom and have had the privilege of teaching first grade and a K/1 multi-grade classroom, before undertaking Kindergarten as a separate grade level.  It keeps it very exciting and new!

Lifelong learning is very important to me.  I received my degree from UW-Whitewater in Elementary Education Grades 1-8.  Since then I have earned two additional teaching licenses: Teaching Early Childhood (Birth through 3) from Viterbo University and a Reading Teacher License from UW-Whitewater. Last year I completed the coursework for Early Reading Empowerment from UW-Milwaukee.  This year and into the summer of 2017, I will be completing my Masters of Arts in Education.

At home, I have a very loving and supportive family.  My husband Brian and I have been married 24 years. We have a son, Jon, who is a junior at Whitewater High School and a daughter Sierra who is a sophomore.  At home we love to do lots of sports and outdoor activities:  rock climbing, canoeing, camping, backpacking, XC skiing, water skiing, fishing, ice skating - you name it - if it's outdoors - we love it!

Family is important to me - learning, experiencing, and sharing new things together.  I hope to bring this into the classroom.  I want every child's kindergarten experience to be successful.  Parents - I will do everything I can to support your child.   Please keep the communication lines open and feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.  There is no such thing as a stupid question!
I'm looking forward to a great year!
